You Had Me at "Mask"

I played Pictionary this past weekend where it quickly became clear that I am unable to draw virtually anything beyond a circle or square.

This:

Second Coming of Picasso?

was supposed to be a "Parrot". (I'm sure my teammate felt like it was one of those Rorschach ink blot tests...)

So you'd think I'd have the decency not to make fun of anyone else. But you'd be wrong.

I remember reading this Savage Love column with both glee and a desperate urge to vomit. This was almost 5 years ago, and it's stuck with me. As a commenter on another site remarked of a "Top Ten Weirdest Fetishes" post (I'm warning you, don't search that term), "You can't unlearn these things".

In this column, a woman wrote with the following question/concern:

"My boyfriend of four years enjoys wearing women's clothing and acting like a submissive woman when we have sex. Nothing gets him off more. We have only just started exploring his fetish in the past year because he has been ashamed of it all his life. I have encouraged him so far, and now we have a couple of hundred dollars' worth of sexy women's clothing that fits him. Last night, he asked me if he could wear a latex mask of a woman's face during sex. That crossed the line for me."
Did it, now? Points to you, chicky, my line was miles back.

My brain unraveled after I read the mask part and I was left thinking only in sounds. Dan Savage then directed readers to the Mask.on site. And that's when I began to rock back and forth in terror.

But if you think you'll need therapy after going to that site - you ain't seen nothing yet. The Savage Love column came out before Youtube existed, and by now the mask creator has some vids on Youtube whilst wearing the mask (e.g. Good Morning, Joan).

I just. I. I just. I can barely even post the video here... I'm just too scared.

(In the interest of fairness, I love the guy's attitude about his fetish as posted in the original column. He's classy and I respect that. And I'm glad he's in touch with who he is, and he has the right to do anything he wants in the privacy of his own home. But, for the record, yes, it does creep me out. In a big, big way.)
