PTSD (Post-Towel-Stress-Disorder)

I often learn about ridiculous products. And each time I declare, "This is the fucking STUPIDEST thing I have ever seen!"  And, without fail, I soon discover something even stupider.

Now there's a towel - with instructions!

"Most bath towels look exactly the same from top to bottom, left to right. That makes for a little mystery that can leave you feeling uncleanly: Which side of your towel did you last use to dry off your face and which side did you use on your nether regions?"

Given that you've just showered, how is this a concern?!!

How'd he come up with this (completely essential) product? 

"Ross came up with the idea for the product in his own bathroom after his fiancee had a traumatic post-shower experience of her own.

'She got out of the shower and accidentally used my towel. When she realized what she'd done, she was thoroughly grossed out and found herself wondering where my towel had been. I didn't know how to answer that since I really didn't know myself. That sparked the idea for the towel,' Ross said."

I have so many problems with the above. 

1) What qualifies as traumatic to this chick?! (Disturbingly, this reminds me of my mother telling me a story about how, as a teenager, a drunk stranger once forcibly kissed her.  She concluded the tale with: "I know what women feel like when they are raped!" Absolutely an equivalent experience.)  

2) What is Ross' hygiene level that his towel, used even after a shower has the ability to "thoroughly gross out" his girlfriend?! This is a man she (we assume) has intercourse with?! 

"We all have the thought when we step out of the shower and grab for that old towel, I don't know what body part I used to dry this with yesterday. We decided to solve the age old problem."

Age old problem?!

Ah, yes... Now, I recall seeing that picture in National Geographic:
