I'm all for things that do many tasks for me so I don't have to carry around a schwack of objects. In the case of just about all of these things, however, technology makes life more work. The Digital Bible thing doesn't strike me as much of a replacement for a paper copy of The Good Book. Likewise, when making a list of things to do/buy, I rarely have a problem with the Old Skool paper and pencil.

Call me crazy, but you have the situation nailed: WTF?

Great to see some more good stuff from Skymall Monica. I've been so out of touch with what's been newly released there. I really appreciate you taking the time to highlight some of the best items. That underwater cell phone could definitely come in handy. Suppose you get locked in a trunk by Guido & pals and get driven off the end of a dock into the drink. Is your slick looking iPhone gonna bail you out then? 100,000 apps or not, there hasn't been any released yet for making calls under water. I do think they're on to something. I could go on about the other stuff too, but you've covered it so well. And such good timing with Xmas just at hand. ;)
